SHARE DACHL User Workshop 2027
SAVE THE DATE and Call for Papers
The SHARE country teams of Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Luxembourg invite you to the SHARE DACHL User Workshop 2027 — a platform for researchers to present and discuss innovative work using data from the Survey of Health, Ageing and Retirement in Europe (SHARE).
As Europe faces the challenges and opportunities of an ageing population, this workshop will explore how SHARE data can illuminate key issues such as the digital transformation of retirement, sustainable old-age and long-term care, healthy ageing, and growing inequalities in income, wealth, and health — as well as benefits from increased longevity and social transformation.
We welcome abstracts addressing these and related themes — whether through empirical research, methodological advancements, or policy-relevant insights — with a focus on the social, economic, and health dynamics shaping the lives of older adults. We also invite presentations on country-specific topics, such as ‚Measures for a longer working life in Austria‘. Comparative analyses, interdisciplinary approaches, and studies on vulnerable groups are especially encouraged.
Workshop Format
The two-day event will feature a keynote by Prof. Dr. Fabian Pfeffer (Director, Munich International Stone Center for Inequality Research), up to 12 oral presentations, and a poster session. The workshop will be held in English. Designed for 30–40 participants, the workshop will foster interactive discussions and networking opportunities.
